Mary Ellen (Johnson) Kennedy, 96, of Birdsboro, PA died on Friday, September 15, 2017 at the Berkshire Center. Born in Birdsboro, she was the daughter of the late David and Grace (Beidler) Johnson. She was the widow of Mervin R. “Jack” Kennedy who died on 5/27/2015.
Mary was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, in Birdsboro, where she love attending church and singing in the choir.
She is survived by 1 son: Rodney L. husband of Ramona Y. Kennedy of Douglassville, PA; 1 brother: Robert Johnson of Union Twp., PA; and 1 sister: Peggy Groff of Lycoming County. She is survived by 3 grandchildren: Christopher, Scott, and Joshua; and 4 great grandchildren: Jacob, Jevan, Logan, and Wyatt.
She is predeceased by 1 grandson: Brian H. Kennedy.
A funeral service will be held at the Dengler Funeral Home, Inc., 144 N. Spruce St. Birdsboro, PA 19508 on Wednesday, September 20, 2017, 11:00 AM and a viewing will be held an hour before the service at the funeral home. Interment will be held in Birdsboro Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Christ United Methodist Church, 114 Bird St. Birdsboro, PA 19508.
