Luther W. Benson, Jr., 87 of Birdsboro, PA, died on Friday, January 11, 2019, at the Mifflin Center in Shillington, PA. Born in Birdsboro, PA, he was the son of the late Luther W. and Pearl F. (Johnson) Benson. He was the widower of Mildred L. (Hoffmaster) Benson.
Luther retired as a Letter Carrier for the United States Postal Service in Birdsboro after 40 years. He was a member of the National Assoc. of Letter Carriers, enjoyed hunting, and going to stock car races at the Reading Fairgrounds.
Surviving Luther are: 1 brother: Charles R. Benson, husband of Virginia of Birdsboro, PA; nephew: Charles R. Benson, Jr., husband of Kathie of Birdsboro, PA; and niece: Barbara, wife of Norbert Keim of Jasper, IN
A graveside service will be held at Birdsboro Cemetery, 1018 E. Main St. Birdsboro, PA on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at 1:00pm.
