Josephine Marie Buchanan, 32, of Union Twp., Douglassville, Berks Co., PA died on Sunday, September 3, 2017. Born in Reading, PA, she was the daughter of Donald L. Buchanan, Jr. at home and Tina M. (Nanni) Buchanan of Earleville, MD.
Josephine was employed by Eye Consultants of Pennsylvania as an Ophthalmic Technician in Pottstown, PA. She graduated from Owen J. Roberts HS, Class of 2004, received her degree in Medical Assisting from Antonelli Medical & Prof. Institute, and received her LPN from RACC in 2012. Josephine loved reading books and vacationing at the beach.
Josephine is survived, along with her parents, by 1 son: Owen Buchanan at home; Paternal grandparents: Donald Sr. and Nancy Buchanan of Birdsboro, PA; Maternal grandmother: Faye Nanni of Birdsboro, PA, and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Immaculate Conception BVM RCC, 905 Chestnut St. Douglassville (Union Twp.), PA 19518. A visitation will be held an hour before the service at the church. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a Trust set up for Josephine’s son, checks should be made payable to Owen Buchanan Trust Fund, sent to Thompkins Vist Bank, 350 W. Main Street, Birdsboro, PA 19508-1900.
