John Rock, Jr., 86 of Exeter Twp., Berks Co., Pa. passed away on September 14, 2018, at Reading Hospital-Tower Health.
Born in Millbach, Pa he was the son of the late John
Rock, Sr. and the late Ida S. (Bubb) Rock.
John served 18 months with the US Army in Korea. He was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 411, Birdsboro and the American Legion Post 626, Birdsboro.
Before retiring John was employed by Warren Excavating and Drilling, Bowmansville, Pa. and worked for Bethlehem Steel at the Grace Mines, Morgantown as a Head Miner.
He is survived by family; Jason S. Powell and Shiena Powelson of Pottstown, Pa., & Barry and Doris Powell of Pottstown, Pa. “And his beloved dog, Tiny”
He was predeceased by longtime companion, the late, Rebecca Barto.
A viewing will be held at the Dengler Funeral Home, Inc, 144 North Spruce Street, Birdsboro, PA on Friday, September 21, 2018 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
