Jennie Nora (McGettigan) Manegold, 95 of Amity Twp., Berks Co., PA passed away on Saturday, December 9, 2017, at Exeter Greens Care & Rehabilitation Center in Reading, PA.
Born, May 9, 1922 in Whiskey Ditch West Lawn, PA, she was the daughter of the late James Patrick McGettigan and Jennie (Lebo) McGettigan. She was the wife of Gerald Vincent Manegold.
Jennie enjoyed spending time with her family and was an avid animal lover and was known for her love of baking delicious pies for her family and friends that everyone will greatly miss.
She was employed by Reading Area Community College (RACC) as a receptionist and telephone operator and last worked Part-time for Heartstrings finally retiring at the age of 87.
She was a member of St. Joseph’s RC Church, Reading, PA.
Surviving are son; Joseph J. husband of Lynda Manegold of Amity Twp., PA, brother; Jack McGettigan of Tucson, AZ; 2 grandchildren; David husband of Naomi Manegold, Melissa wife of Jason Van Aalsburg, and 3 great grandchildren; Claire, Grace, and Dylan.
Jennie was predeceased by grandson; Matt Manegold, 2 sisters; Mary McGettigan, Peg Stimmel, and 4 brothers; Daniel, George, Jim, and Ed McGettigan.
The family will receive friends from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 13, 2018, at Chapel at Gethsemane Cemetery, 3139 Kutztown Rd, Laureldale, PA. with a Mass to follow.
