James D. Fox

James D Fox, 74, of Birdsboro, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at the Reading Hospital. Born in Reading to Lester and Mary (Moore) Fox.

Jim is survived by his wife of 52 years, Carolyn M (Tinus) Fox.  He is also survived by his brother, Stephen L Fox, of Pittsburgh PA.  Jim and Carol enjoyed spending time with their family, camping, and traveling.

After service in the US Navy, he worked for Metropolitan Edison as a lineman, as a member of the meter department, and at the Titus Station Power Plant.  In his spare time he enjoyed hunting and fishing, reading, crossword puzzles, and watching the Philadelphia Phillies.

Jim was extremely loving and proud of his son and two step-sons.  Kenneth Jones of Londonderry NH, his wife Ann and four children, Elizabeth, Kristine, Jennifer and Matthew.  Thomas Jones of Robesonia PA, his wife Eva and son Thomas.  James L Fox, Kensington CT, his wife Cynthia, and two daughters Bridget and Meghan.   He also had 5 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on June 10, 2017 at 4:00 PM at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, 5 Brooke Manor, Birdsboro, PA.  Memorial donations may be made in Jim’s name to the Pennsylvania Chapter of the Wildlife Society (https://wildlife.org/donate/).   Select Donate Online and specify that donations be directed to the Pennsylvania Chapter by using the Special Note option.
