Irene Margaret Bateman, 84 of Downingtown, PA, formerly of Morgantown, PA, died on Friday, December 6, 2019, at St. Martha Villa for Independent Retirement Living in Downingtown, PA.
Born June 6, 1935 in Coatesville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Andrew Hamara and Mary (McCovich) Hamara.
She was employed by QVC. Prior to that she was employed by Pepperridge Farm.
She was a member of St. Benedict RC Church, Robeson Twp. Berks Co., PA.
Irene enjoyed word searches and watching game shows on television.
Surviving are son, Jack husband of Gail Bateman of Morgantown, PA, daughters, Linda wife of Richard Beck of Morgantown, PA and Lisa wife of Peter MacIver of Matthews, NC, sister, Margaret Zvodar of Pottstown, PA; 5 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at the Church of St. Benedict, 2020 Chestnut Hill Road, (Robeson Twp.) Mohnton, PA with the Rev. Philip F. Rogers officiating. Interment will be in Birdsboro Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Wednesday, at the church.
