Hildegard (Erbelding) Carfagna, 84 of Douglassville, Berks County, PA died on Sunday, July 2, 2017, in the comfort of her home. Born on January 11, 1933 in Bingen am Rhein, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Jacob and Anna (Adam) Erbelding. She was the wife of Clement S. Carfagna.
Hilde worked as a travel agent for her own company, Coventry Travel in Pottstown, PA. She was a member of the Evergreen German Club and the Reading Liederkranz. She was also a member of St. Aloysius Parish Church in Pottstown.
Surviving along with her husband are 1 son: Gregory C. Carfagna, husband of Sue of Blacklick, OH; 2 daughters: Annette M. Cresto, wife of Rick of Douglassville, PA and Pamela J. Eiche, wife of Curtis of Union Twp.; 1 brother: Heinz Erbelding, husband of MaryAnn of Nile, OH; 6 grandchildren: Michelle, Charles, Kevin, Brett, Kyle, and Kelsey; and 5 great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Dengler Funeral Home, Inc. 144 N. Spruce St. Birdsboro, PA 19508 on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at 11:30 AM. There will be a visitation from 10:00AM-11:30AM prior to the service at the funeral home.
Inurnment will be held in Birdsboro Cemetery.
