Harry Rittenhouse “Jack” Huyett

Harry Rittenhouse “Jack” Huyett, 91 of Exeter Twp., Berks Co., PA, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 16, 2018, at home surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Exeter Twp., Berks Co., PA, he was the son of the late Helen (Rittenhouse) Huyett and Harry Rinehart Huyett. He was the husband of Mildred A. (Messner) Huyett. Harry and Mildred celebrated their 71st wedding anniversary on August 31, 2017.

Harry worked for the Former Birdsboro Corp. (Steel Co.), then in later years for Yellow Freight as a Truck Driver. He was a member of St. John’s UCC, Gibraltar. He was also a member of Union Lodge #479 F & M Birdsboro, and JG Travelers.

Surviving along with his wife are son; Jack D. husband of Rebekah Huyett of Shartlesville, PA, 4 daughters; Marie E. widow of Keith Richards of Reading, PA, Ret. Lt. Col. Marjorie E. Huyett of Wyomissing, PA, Michele E. wife of Larry Wentzel of Exeter Twp., Mindy E. wife of Stuart Craley of Cumru Twp., Berks Co., PA, brother; David R. Huyett of Pennside, PA, sister; Ret. Lt. Col. Helen R. Huyett of Highlands at Wyomissing.

He was predeceased by 2 sisters; Jeanette Stafford and Aletha Bosold.

A viewing will be held from 5:30PM to 7:00PM at Dengler Funeral Home, Inc., 144 N. Spruce St., Birdsboro, PA on Friday, February 23, 2018 followed by a Masonic Service by Union Lodge #479 F & M.
