Florence Grace (Myers) McLean, 91 of Amity Twp., Berks Co., PA, died on Wednesday, October 25, 2017, at home.
Born February 5, 1926 in Highspire, PA she was the daughter of the late Walter and Edith Myers.
She was the widow of John Daniel McLean who died on April 11, 2000.
Florence was the owner of Arrowhead Golf Course, where she and her husband John worked hard on a daily basis to create and realize their dream. Her smiling face will be missed by all, as she will no longer hold covet to her post in the clubhouse, where she greeted the golfers almost every day. She enjoyed all the conversations and stories they had to tell, always saying that golf stories were just like fish stories. More often than not she considered them friends.
She was a 1943 graduate of Highspire High School and a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority for 58 years. She enjoyed being on the social committee and entertaining members at her home.
She was a member of St. Paul’s UCC Amityville.
Surviving is a daughter, Valerie Jean McLean Keller wife of Vernon Keller of Amity Twp.
She was predeceased by a daughter at birth , Jenny Ann McLean.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Sunday, October 29, 2017, at Dengler Funeral Home, 144 N. Spruce Street, Birdsboro, PA and Monday, October 30, 2017 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the church.
Beta Sigma Phi, Torchbearer Lambda Chapter service at 11:00 AM with the funeral service at 11:15 AM on Monday, Oct. 30, 2017 at St. Paul’s UCC – Amityville, 1312 Old Swede Rd. Douglassville, Pennsylvania.
Interment will be in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Amityville, PA.
