Eugene “Dick” R. Killian, 88, of Summerville, SC, formerly of Seyfert, Berks Co., PA passed away on Thursday, February 22, 2018, at Summerville Medical Center in Summerville, SC. Born in Reading, PA, he was the son of the late Arthur N. and Marie (Bitts) Killian. He was the husband of his loving wife, Mary Jane (Halteman) Killian for 67 years.
Dick was employed in Outdoor Advertising in Philadelphia before his retirement. He was a US Army veteran who was stationed in Germany in the Korean War. Dick was an avid golfer and Bridge player.
Surviving Dick, along with his wife, are 1 son: Kim E. Killian, husband of Janine of Summerville, SC; 1 daughter: Cheryl M. Oldham, wife of James of North Charleston, SC; 2 brothers: Arthur Killian, Jr. of Reiffton, PA, and Dean Killian of Texas. He is also survived by 2 grandchildren: James Killian, husband of Alyse of Tucson, AZ and Amanda Sharf, wife of Otto of Felton, PA; 3 step-grandchildren; and 2 step great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at the Dengler Funeral Home, Inc. 144 N. Spruce St., Birdsboro, PA 19508 on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 11:30 AM. A viewing will be held an hour before the service on Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Reiffton, PA.
