Edward B. George, 93, of Exeter Twp., Berks Co., PA passed away on Friday, June 28, 2019, at home surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Queens, NY, he was the son of the late Edward B and Julia L. (Diesel) George. He was the loving husband of Mary E. (rainey) George.
Edward worked for the Long Island Railroad as a conductor most of his life. He served in the U.S. Navy in World War II. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in New York and a member of Bethany Congregational Church in East Rockaway, NY. He enjoyed woodworking, golf, bowling, and puzzles.
Surviving Edward, along with his wife, Mary, are: 5 sons: Edward George, husband of Kimberly, Gary George, husband of Sue, James Good, husband of Patricia, Daniel Good, husband of Stephanie, and Charles Good, husband of Connie; 9 daughters: Eileen Shank, wife of Robert, Mary Hoffman, widow of Robert, Barbara Peck, wife of Randy, Lori Schrafel, wife of Tracy, Gayle McKeon, Melissa Lord, wife of Alex, Tina Kuhn, wife of Kevin, Tracy Fazzio, and Kimberly George, wife of Edward; and 1 sister: Julia Kelly. He is also survived by 49 grandchildren and 50 great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by 1 son: David Good, 1 daughter: Peggy Kearney, 1st wife: Anna F. (Morris) George, and 2 brothers and 1 sister.
A viewing will be held at the Dengler Funeral Home, Inc. 144 N. Spruce St. Birdsboro, PA 19508 on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 from 3:00pm-5:00pm. A funeral service will follow the viewing on Tuesday. .
