Dorothy M. (Coldren) Helms, 97, formerly of Reading, PA passed away on October 18, 2017 at the Berks County Home Berks Heim. She was born in Robeson Twp., Berks Co., PA to the late Raymond and Pearl A. (Quinter) Coldren. She was the widow of Russell B. Helms.
She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Gibraltar, PA. Dorothy enjoyed crafting and took pride in being a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
Surviving Dorothy are 1 son: Kerry G. Helms, husband of Marilyn of Temple, PA; 1 daughter: Sandra K. Kieffer, wife of Kenneth P. of Temple, PA; 1 sister: Marie Kroenig of Wyomissing, PA; 3 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and 6 step-great grandchildren..
She was predeceased by 1 sister: Jennie Brown.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 23, 2017 at the Dengler Funeral Home, Inc., 144 N. Spruce St. Birdsboro, PA at 10:00 AM. A viewing will be held at the funeral home, an hour before the service. Interment will be in St. John’s Cemetery in Gibraltar, PA.
