Donald S. Remp

Donald S. Remp, 68, from Birdsboro, PA and formerly of Mohnton, PA passed away on November 16, 2017 at Penn State Health St. Joseph’s. He was born in West Reading, PA to the Elwood I. and Beatrice A. (Berg) Remp. He was the loving husband of Kathy H. (Lewis) Remp.

He worked as a baker for Maier’s Bakery in Reading until his retirement in 2011. Donald was a graduate of Governor Mifflin High School, Class of 1967. In his younger years, he was an avid hunter and bowler. He also enjoyed bass fishing at Hopewell and Blue Marsh Lakes, and loved his annual fishing trip to Canada with his close friends.

Surviving Donald, along with his wife are 2 sons: Scott W. Remp of Birdsboro, PA and Michael A. Remp, husband of Jessica (Pentz) of Shillington, PA. He was also survived by 2 grandchildren: Conner and Mya.

Services will be at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Rescue League of Berks County, 58 Kennel Rd. Birdsboro, PA 19508.

  1. My sympathy to the Remp family on Don’s passing. Donald was a good husband, father, grandfather and friend. He worked for me at the bakery and was probably the best operator the plant will ever see. Don also always had time to help others. He did some electric work for me and taught me how to fish in Delaware. Donald made this world a better place from Mifflin to Maier’s to Birdsboro. Rest In Peace, Donald.
