Betty Jane (Yerger) Rhoads, 89 of Amity Twp., Berks Co., PA, passed on December 30, 2018 at Amity Manor in Douglassville, PA.
Born in Pottstown, PA, she was the daughter of the late William A. and Mildred E. (Wagner) Yerger. She was the widow of Linwood E. Rhoads who passed in 1968.
Betty worked as a braider for Gudebrod, Inc. in Stowe, PA for 48 years. She was a member of St. Paul’s UCC Amityville, and a lifetime member of Amity Fire Co. She enjoyed crocheting, crafting, and making jewelry. She also loved going to casinos and reading.
Surviving Betty are: 1 daughter: Donna K. wife of Gerald Weil of Boyertown; 1 brother: Richard A. Yerger of New Port Ritchie, FL; daughter-in-law: Suzi Green of Douglassville, PA, longtime companion of son: Barry L. Rhoads who passed in 2007. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren: Kevin Fick, husband of Jaime, Lisa Hainley, wife of Clint, Craig Rhoads, husband of Monique, and Kristi Rodriguez and 11 great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by 2 brothers: Leonard and Charles Yerger and 1 sister: Alice Knepp.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 7, 2018 at St. Paul’s UCC, 1312 Old Swede Rd. Douglassville, PA 19518 at 11:00AM. A viewing will be held from 10:00AM – 11:00AM before the service at the church.
Interment will be in St. Paul’s Cemetery in Amityville, PA.
