Walter “Wally” Grys

Walter “Wally” Grys, 70 of Exeter Twp., Berks Co., PA died on Sunday, April 16, 2017. He was born on March 30, 1947 in Germany, he was the son of the late Stanley and the late Katherine Grys.
 He was employed as a paint maker for Glidden Paint for over 40 years.  He also loved his family and enjoyed camping at the Blue Rocks Family Campground, in Lenhartsville, PA. Walter was a US Army Veteran of the Vietnam War.
 Surviving are 2 sons: Christopher P. Grys, husband of Elizabeth of Bethlehem, PA; Michael S. Grys of Breinigsville, PA; 1 daughter: Stephanie M. Crosby, wife of Justin J. of Birdsboro, PA; and 2 grandchildren: Gabrielle & Meghan.
 Services will be at the convenience of the family.

George Lester Weiler

George Lester Weiler, 86 of Robeson Twp., Berks County, PA, died Sunday morning, April 16, 2017 at home.
 Born on August 13, 1930 in Birdsboro, Berks County, PA, he was the son of the late Llewellyn R. Weiler and Esther Ruth (Hahn) Weiler. He was the widower of Carol Joy (Carmello) Weiler who, died on December 12, 2009.
 George was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, Gibraltar, PA, NHRA, Eastern Drag Racing Museum, Maple Grove Wall of Fame and had received a Wally life time achievement from NHRA. He served in the U.S. National Guard.
 He is survived by daughter Joy A. wife of Richard A. Graham of Robeson Twp., Berks Co., PA, 3 Grandchildren,   Jennifer Kercher, Brittany Graham, and Jessica wife of Matthew Mountz, 4 Great Grandchildren:  Cierra, Larissa Kercher, Logan, and Laney Mountz

Frank J. Rogers

Frank J. Rogers, Sr, 85 of Exeter Twp., Berks Co., PA passed away on Friday, April 14, 2017, at The Reading Hospital and Medical Center. Born July 2, 1931 in Erwin, TN., he was the son of the late George Rogers and Helen (Doan) Rogers. Frank was the husband of the late Helen Rose (Mellen) Rogers.
 He was a self-employed painter for 63 years, retiring in 2007. Frank was a member of Union Lodge #479 F&AM raised November 22, 1988, and was a past Junior Deacon. He was very active in his community doing charity work for various organizations.
 Surviving are 3 sons, Michael R. husband of Brenda Rogers of East Earl, PA, Frank J. Jr. husband of Kim Rogers of Mohnton, PA, William R. Rogers of Schwenksville, PA; 3 daughters, Carol wife of John Sosnoski of Georgetown, DE., Georgena Ann Evans of Elverson, PA, Tina Ann Ziegler of Birdsboro, PA; 3 sisters, Linda Garland of Erwin, TN., Carolyn Pate of Erwin, TN., Merita Edwards of Erwin, TN.; 5 grandchildren, Katie Ann, Ashley Ann, Brittany Ann, Michaeline Karla, Jack Ryan; and 3 great-grandchildren.
 He was predeceased by 2 sisters, Frances Bales and Kathleen Green.
 A viewing will be held at Dengler Funeral Home, Inc., 144 North Spruce St., Birdsboro, PA on Thursday, April 20, 2017, from 6:30 to 8:30 PM. With Union Lodge service at 8:30 PM. A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday April 22, 2017 at 10:30AM at Forest Hills Memorial Park, 390 W. Neversink Rd., Reading, PA.

Thomas (Tom) Huyett Spatz

Thomas (Tom) Huyett Spatz, 83 of Wyomissing, PA, died on Palm Sunday, April 9, 2017, at The Hill at Whitemarsh in Lafayette Hill, PA.
 Born on May 29, 1933 in Reading, PA, he was the son of the late William Spatz and Laura (Huyett) Spatz.
 He was the husband of Mary “Mamie” L. (Boyle) Spatz.  The couple most recently resided at Sunrise of Blue Bell, PA but also had a home in Wyomissing, PA.  Tom and Mamie traveled the world together and rejoiced in their children and grandchildren.
 Tom graduated from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.  Tom spent most of his career working at and retired from N.C.R. Corp. where he was a Systems Analyst and Systems Architect and was repeatedly recognized for his important systems contributions.  Tom loved strategy.  He was a Life Master at Bridge and an avid player.  Tom was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Reading, PA and also attended St. John Lutheran Church in Blue Bell, PA.  Tom’s faith was an integral part of his life. 
 In addition to his dear wife Mamie, Tom is survived by 1 son, George Reynolds Spatz, husband of Mital Spatz, of Chicago, IL, 1 daughter, Laura Ellen Spatz O’Donnell, wife of Michael W. O’Donnell, of San Antonio, TX, and 4 Grandchildren, Shreya and Maya Spatz and Max and Samantha Kate O’Donnell.
 Also surviving are 6 step children and 13 step-grandchildren: Michael McGowan (Stephanie) of Birdsboro, PA and their children Jason and Maise; Patrick McGowan (Cathy) of Blue Bell, PA and their children, Andrew, Colleen and Julie; Sean McGowan (Marsha) of Wyomissing, PA and their children, Ryan (Eleanor) and Peter; Suzanne Wright (John) of Greensburg, PA and their children, Rachel, Samantha and Courtney; Kelly McGowan of Blue Bell, PA; and Kevin McGowan (Megan) of Alpharetta, GA and their children, Shannon, Caitlyn and Sarah.
 The family will receive friends from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at Dengler Funeral Home, located at 144 N. Spruce Street, Birdsboro, Pennsylvania.  A Funeral service will be held thereafter at 10:30 AM at Dengler Funeral Home.  Interment will be in Birdsboro Cemetery following the service.

Ramon Fazzolari

Ramon Fazzolari, 56, of Amity Township passed away suddenly in Exeter, PA on April 6th 2017
He was the son of Rocco Fazzolari of Vineland, NJ and the late Jean (Stiles) Fazzolari.
He was the husband of M. Sandra (Rose) Fazzolari.
Ramon was Chief Engineer for Fluidics INC. and a member of Steamfitters Local Union 420.
He enjoyed playing the guitar, motorcycles, golf and above all else he loved his family & enjoyed being a part of their lives.
Surviving along with his wife and father are son, Rocco N. Fazzolari; 2 daughters, Angela M. Fazzolari and Arica J. Fazzolari, all of Amity Twp. and 2 grandchildren, Mila K. Jarry and Karsyn N. Fazzolari.
Ramon’s Memorial Service will be held at Dengler Funeral Home, 144 N. Spruce St., Birdsboro, PA 19508 on Thursday, April 13th at 1:00 PM.

Bruce Gordon Harp

Bruce Gordon Harp, 76 of Temple, PA., Berks Co., PA died on Monday, April 3, 2017, at the Reading Hospital & Medical Center.
 Born March 30, 1941 in Pottstown, Montgomery Co., PA, he was the son of the late John Gordon Harp and Pearl (Biehl) Harp.
 He was employed as a purchasing manager for by the former Stanley G. Flagg, Stowe, PA and retired from United Core Stack of Reading, PA
 He had served in the Army National Guard.
 Bruce was a member of the National Rifle Association and an avid Penn State and Dallas Cowboy fan.
 Surviving are 2 sons: Joseph John Harp of Pottstown, PA, Lee Bruce Harp of Boyertown, PA, and 2 grandchildren; Jennifer and Michael.
 A Memorial Service will be held at Dengler Funeral Home, Inc. 144 North Spruce Street, Birdsboro, PA on Friday, April 14, 2017 at 10:30 AM., with a visitation from 9:30 to 10:30 am
 Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery, 225 East Schuylkill Road, Pottstown, PA.

Kevin Christopher Landolf-High

Kevin Christopher Landolf-High, 29, formerly of Birdsboro, PA passed away on March 30, 2017 in Pottstown, PA.
Born May 24, 1987 in Pottstown, PA, he was the son of William L. Landolf, Jr. and Tammy D. High.
Kevin attended Daniel Boone High School.
Surviving along with his parents are maternal grandparents Linda Loose and Rodger Penwell; paternal grandmother, Carol Landolf; 2 brothers; Michael High, William High; and sister, Heaven High.
He is also survived by his half-brother and sister, Jay Lamont and Angelique Landolf.
He was predeceased by paternal grandfather, William Landolf, Sr.
Kevin’s Memorial Service will be at Dengler Funeral Home, Inc. 144 N. Spruce St., Birdsboro, PA 19508 on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 from 1:00PM to 3:00 PM  ”Visitation” with family and friends will be 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. “Time of Remembrance” will be 2:00PM to 3:00PM when we share memories and stories of Kevin.

Gail Patricia (Byerly) Nelligan Wagner

Gail Patricia (Byerly) Nelligan Wagner, 77, formerly of Birdsboro, PA passed away on March 31, 2017, at Wyomissing Nursing and Rehab, Reading, PA. Born April 11, 1939 in Monroe County, PA, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin S. Byerly and the late Mary Anna (Maines) Byerly.
Surviving along with her husband Ralph V. Wagner are 4 sons; Thomas J. Jr. husband of Sally Nelligan, of Lansdale, PA, David A., Sr. husband of Kathy Nelligan of Norristown, PA, Christopher M. Sr. husband of Lucy Nelligan of   Norristown, PA, Matthew H. Nelligan of Guyton, GA.; 3 daughters, Deborah J. Nelligan of Sanatoga, PA, Charlotte G. wife of Barry Schlosman of Maryville, PA, Jessie A. wife of Robert Glass of East Norriton, PA; 7 brothers;2 sisters; 13 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by 1 brother, 2 sisters, and 1 grandson.

Valera Emma Hill

Valera Emma Hill, 88, of Mohnton, Cumru Twp., Berks Co., PA died on Wednesday, March 29, 2017, at Rittenhouse Village at Muhlenberg.
    Born on February 14, 1929 in Robeson Twp., she was the daughter of the late Irvin F. Seifrit and the late Emma E. (Seifrit) Seifrit. She was the widow of Floyd I. Hill who passed away on Nov. 9, 1989.
   Valera was employed by the former Wilson Products in Reading, PA.  She was a member of Robeson Lutheran Church in Plowville, PA.
   Surviving, along are 2 sons, Harold D. Hill of Robeson Twp.; Kevin M. Hill, husband of Ann of Robeson Twp.; 1 daughter, Julie A., wife of Paul Lisney of Cumru Twp.; and 1 brother, Ammon F. Seifrit, husband of Guyula of Interlachen, FL. She is also survived by 3 grandchildren, Zachary, Rachel, and Ethan; 1 great grandchild, Brayden; and 3 step grandchildren, Julia, Aidan, and Kieran.
   Valera is predeceased by 2 brothers, John H. Huyette and Daniel H. Huyette. 
   Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at 11:00AM at Robeson Lutheran Church, 3520 Plow Rd. Mohnton, PA 19540. A visitation will be held an hour before the service at the church from 10:00 AM- 11:00 AM.
   Interment will be held in Robeson Cemetery.

George Franklin Templin

George Franklin Templin, 90 of Cumru Twp., Berks Co., PA died on Sunday, February 19, 2017, at Mifflin Center.
Born November 1, 1926 in Robeson Twp., Berks Co., PA, he was the son of the late Ralph Templin and the late Sarah (Dice) Templin.
George was the husband of Mary Irene (Lebo) Templin.
He was employed at Rockwell International in West Reading, PA, retiring in 1991.
George was a past Boy Scout Troop Leader for 12 years for Troop #529, and past member of the Consistory of St. John’s UCC and a member of the American Legion Post 626.
Surviving is 1 son; Michael A. husband of Rita Templin of Robeson Twp., PA,
2 daughters; Carol Elaine wife of Joseph Cremi of Boyertown, PA and Linda Irene wife of Robert Ibach of Birdsboro, PA; 6 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren and 2 step-great grandchildren
He was predeceased by a brother; Richard Templin, and 2 sisters; Esther Hafer and Mary Stevens
A Memorial Service will be held at St. John’s UCC Gibraltar, 57 St. John’s Road, Birdsboro, PA 19508 on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at 10:30 AM the family will greet friends and relatives from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM
Burial will be held at St. John’s Cemetery.
