Anna Carmella (Bascelli) DiGuglielmo, 98, formerly of Birdsboro passed away at the Berkshire Center, Exeter Twp., Berks Co., PA on Thursday, Dec. 14, 2017. Born in Birdsboro, PA she was the daughter of the late Gulia (LaRovere) Bascelli and Carmine Bascelli. She was the widow of Anthony DiGuglielmo who died July 17, 1993.
Mrs. DiGuglielmo was a 25 year volunteer at Birdsboro Senior Center, a member of the Women’s Society and the Quilting Group at the church of the Immaculate Conception R. C. Church. Mom Mom devoted her entire life to her children and their families.
She is survived by 2 Sons: Angelo E., husband of Ella DiGuglielmo of Hoover, AL, Anthony S., husband of Susan DiGuglielmo of Exeter Twp., PA; 1 daughter: Andrea D., wife if Scott Hassler of Exeter Twp.; sister in law Rose White of Birdsboro, PA; 6 grandchildren Angela, Daniel, Cortney, Darin, Kyle and Julianna; 13 great grandchildren Elizabeth, Anna, Lia, Isabel, Clayton, Tré, Emma, Damian, Angelina, Brianna, Holly, Avrie and Isla.
She was predeceased by a daughter Annette M. Brennan and 2 sisters Mary Collini and Elizabeth Morello
The family would like to extend thanks to the staff of Berkshire Center and Caring Hospice for the care they showed to Anna.
A viewing will be held Monday, December 18, 2017 from 7:00 to 8:30 PM at the Dengler Funeral Home, Inc., 144 North Spruce Street, Birdsboro, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Immaculate Conception R. C. Church, 905 Chestnut Street, Douglassville (Union Twp.) PA 19518.
