Alfred “Fredy” Oxenford

Alfred “Fredy” Oxenford, 84 of Birdsboro, PA died on Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2018 at the Berkshire Center, Exeter Twp., Berks Co., PA.

Born in Amityville, Berks County, PA on September 30, 1934, he was the son of   the late Arthur Oxenford and Sarah (Botts) Oxenford.

Alfred was the husband of Mary Elizabeth “Betty” (Moyer) Oxenford.

He served in the US Air Force during the Korea Conflict.

He was an Electrician for the former Firestone Tire and Rubber and Occidental Chemical Corp.,

Pottstown PA for 25 years, retiring in 1996.

Alfred was a member of St. John’s UCC, Gibraltar, PA, Monarch and Amity Fire Co., Elverson Gun

Club and the American Legion, Birdsboro, PA.

Surviving along with his wife are 1 Son, Robin G. Oxenford of Amity Twp., 2 Daughters, Kimberly A. wife of Steve Stroman of Birdsboro, Jill wife of Jeff  Brok of Ormond Beach, FL, 1 Brother,

William Oxenford of Douglassville, PA, 1 Step Son, Dean Alan Yanocha of Idaho, 5 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren.

Alfred was predeceased by a daughter: Holly J. Oxenford and 3 Brothers, Arthur, Jr., Robert and Donald.  

Friends and family may call on Saturday, December 22, 2018 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Dengler Funeral Home, Inc., 144 N. Spruce St., Birdsboro, PA, with the memorial service at 11:00 AM.
